The Gender and Community Development Sector merges the interests of CVSS members who work in the areas of gender relations and the empowerment of women, disaster risk reduction, poverty alleviation, consumer rights and community outreach through faith-based institutions. The group’s activities include both public policy engagement as well as a wide variety of community-based initiatives in the areas of parenting, counselling, education and entrepreneurship training.
